What is FORMAE?
FORMAE is a design house that builds optical ceiling and wall systems which recreate the light and depth of an open sky indoors. Every scene is composed by hand and directed by remote, never automated by sensors.

How is FORMAE different from smart lighting?
Unlike sensor led smart lighting, FORMAE is remote directed by design. There are no motion sensors, cameras or usage data, every scene is a deliberate choice, composed the way a lighting designer would specify it.
What are optical sky systems?
Optical sky systems are recessed, borderless light installations that reproduce the colour, softness and depth of natural daylight, from a full depth ceiling to a 45 degree window of light on a windowless wall.
